Join us on August 4th, Sunday from 2pm to 8pm at the GN EVENT CENTER, 7217 CENTREVILLE ROAD MANASSAS 20111. And guess what? Entry and parking are absolutely FREE!
It's not just a festival, it's a chance to crown the next "PUNJABAN DC"! Winners will receive prestigious trophies, exciting gift cards, and even an interview on MYTV USA STUDIO!

We're calling all ladies to participate in the Miss Junior Punjaban (ages 5-14), Miss Punjaban (ages 15-25), Ms. Punjaban (age 26+), and Mrs. Punjaban Teej (married women, no age limit) categories. Showcase your talent with a solo Punjabi dance or song (2:30 - 3:00 min) while adorned in authentic Punjabi attire and jewelry.

About Me
My Beginnings
Mela Teeyan Teej is the only event in the DMV area that is for women, run by women, and organized by women.
The annual event women and girls, clad in colorful Punjabi suits, to Mela festive with Gidha and Bhangra dances, Boliyan (couplets), Mrs. /Miss./Ms Punjaban pageant DC and Jr. Miss Punjaban DC, henna, Punjabi cuisine and shopping. Among the highlights was For the first time in history a calendar shoot was dedicated to the Miss and Mrs Punjaban was released at Mela Teeyan Teej 2019 year. Punjaban calendars have never happened in the world until PWCA, MyTv, and KM Paras of Moni Gill decided to change that.
PWCA awarded “Woman Inspiration” Award every year to support female power and talent! Their mission is to promote Punjabi culture, traditions and customs to the younger generation.
Our proudest moment was when PWCA had to add a juniors section for Miss Teeyan Punjaban because so many girls from the ages of 3- 14 wanted to participate in the pageant. All of those little girls were American born kids who wanted to learn more about their culture and wanted to showcase it in front of their loved ones. Moni Gill & Rupinder Chahal of PWCA stated, “ The goal of this Mela is to help girls, especially American born ones, to dig deep into their heritage and fall in love with their virsa.” Moni Gill continues saying she believes that Mela Teeyan will inspire girls and will be a resource that girls need to stay connected with their past as they continue on in the future.

At the end of the day, the work I enjoy the most is when the audience feels connected to our team performance.
